Katrina C is a stay at home mom to two teens, homemaker wife to a very supportive husband, and a hobby artist in between it all. Her sometimes eclectic collection of items for sale is a result of a desire to test her abilities in a range of categories and a general desire to make craft things that interest her. Growing up she developed a love of making things on her own and would sometimes sell her Book Bug homemade bookmarks to help fund buying crafting materials. As she grew older she became interested in testing new skills at home, school, and even at her grandparents farm trying to find what interested her the most. In the early 2000's she moved to the USA to start her new family, bringing her skills and a few suitcases.
Katrina grew up in a family of trades and crafters, so it's no surprise that she loves to make things with her hands. From sewing plushies to stringing beads, she has developed an impressive set of skills in crafting. Her sewing skills have resulted in an army of handmade plushies and many one of a kind Halloween costumes. She delights on being able to use her skills to stretch her family budget and still getting to enjoy a comfortably furnished and decorated home life.
When not looking after her family or creating crafts for others to enjoy she enjoys spending her time playing video games with her kids, reading books and fanfics, and watching tv with her husband.
Koreena's Creations crafts are a labor of love and need to be taken care of properly in order to get the most out of them. If you want your crafts to last, it is important that you keep them in a protected environment. This will ensure that the materials used in the craft do not degrade over time due to exposure to humidity or dust. Additionally, gentle handling is also important for maximum life of your crafts. It is important to note that these crafts are not meant for kids use as they can cause damage if not handled properly.
* The metal jewelry findings used are often silver or gold plated and were labeled to me as lead and nickel free.
* Platings can tarnish with age but can usually be cleaned up with gentle methods. Excessive rubbing with cleaning cloths and certain chemicals can wear away plating so prevention is the best step: avoid exposure to substances like sunscreen or perfumes and store them in low moisture environments (like zipped plastic bags) when not in use to keep them shiny longer.
* Plushies are for decorative use and are not meant for small children or infants as they may have small parts that could come off with rough handling. Care is always taken to make plushies secure but little kids can gnaw like beavers.
* It is not recommended to machine wash plushies; if needed please surface spot clean only with gentle methods.
Sometimes the materials chosen (mainly fabrics and beads) are ones sourced locally and are purchased in limited amounts. (I have a consumers purchasing power and a home crafters storage restrictions.) Once the supplier are sold out I am not able to stock up again and in the end this contributes to the ooak nature and limited runs of my products.
Etsy is the primary sales channel for Koreena's Creations, shipping throughout the USA and sometimes to Canada by special request. I do not ship internationally anymore due to changing postal requirements for certain countries and issues with outside postal systems and delivery lengths.
Locally I have a small table set up at Power PC in Marietta, GA with a small assortment of products. Orders can also be picked up there for local buyers, usually the next day.
I also do occasional craft shows in my local area. The larger one I do yearly is the Lassiter Craft Show in Marietta at the end of October/ early November depending on year. Upcoming craft shows will be posted on my Facebook page.
